The service was great and food was very good. Beautiful view of the lake and beautiful grounds.
Wonderful meals for all three of us, delicious desserts, excellent wine and cocktails, great service, friendly staff and a beautiful view to boot! What more could you ask for? A room to stay in? They have that too, but we live too close to stay on a week night. Perhaps we'll make a weekend of it sometime though. Truly lovely. We'll be back! Would LOVE it if they had a piano player and or acoustic guitar or especially jazz some nights, we'd be there for sure!
Still is the Jewel of the Finger Lakes. Under the new management it lacks atmosphere, the food was overpriced for the quality. Staff was okay, not welcoming. Other restaurants in the area have more to offer including better food and atmosphere. Very disappointed, no intentions to return. Miss the family style dining experience.
Excellent in every way. Spacious, comfortable rooms with historic character, magnificent setting and views, an elegant dining experience, friendly and helpful staff, and management that is very responsive to any problems that might arise. A bonus is that the Inn is within easy walking distance of a famous waterfall. And a beautiful lakefront Park. It doesn’t come better.
We ate dinner there with my family. Very disappointed, I have been there many times over the years and stayed at the inn. Different owner then. They charge premium prices for a less than average menu, food and wine. My steak was no better than a poor cut from a low end grocery store. The scallops were Ok. Portions were thrifty. Nothing special about anything. I felt uncomfortable, something is just off, the chemistry of the manager and staff is bad. I would not recommend to anyone. I gave it two stars instead of one because I think the mixed drinks were done well. It's a pretty place, but that's it.
