One of the best local grocery stores I know of. Big enough where you can get everything you need. A lot of local products, great natural/ organic selection. They even give out their flyers a week ahead.
Not a big-chain grocery store in any way. Think of Wegmans and then imagine the exact opposite. This is an expansive store with everyday grocery items of every kind. The produce section is tidy but certainly not expansive; on the plus side, the produce section does have some locally grown greens and veggies. Every other section of this store is large and well-stocked: the frozen goods, canned goods, meat, and dairy. What makes this store unique, to my mind, is that you can also buy things like camping extras ... it's a great one-stop store.
We have been regular loyal customers of this store for 12 years. My wife purchased about $100 of various items this morning; got home and realized she had purchase the wrong type of detergent for our washing machine. She went back an hour later to exchange the detergent for the correct one and pick up the pizza she had ordered. She did not bring the receipt because it was an exchange and she was just there. They proceeded to accuse my wife of attempting to steal the detergent! My wife was shocked and appalled and sought out the manager who defended his staff and refused to apologize or complete the exchange. They acknowledged that they saw my wife buy things earlier but said that they did not know if the detergent was among the purchases. I presume they have video cameras at their entrance and could have verified that my wife entered the store with the detergent but found it easier to falsely accuse her of thievery. This is poor customer service at its worst and we will no longer do business here.
I love that the store is family owned and operated. I think that's part of why they have such good service and lots of items that locals want. I really appreciate the vegan options that they have and their great bakery. Being locally owned and operated also helps keep more money in the community to help us prosper.
Easy in easy out! The meat dept is the best! Can pre-order any special cut and quantity from steaks to clams to hams! Also the bakery has fresh goodies,cakes,bread,ect.
