In terms of beer, we only had time trying Cry-P-A. Although our friends told us some delicious experience they had there, the Cry-P-A didn't do much for us. Perhaps we just missed its prime time.
This place has FANTASTIC vegan cupcakes. Better than any cupcakes (vegan or non) I've had before. A nice range of choices, too. I've sampled cupcakes made with German chocolate, bourbon, lemon, lavender, chocolate, and more. Everything tastes decadent and NOT AT ALL dairy-free. Their gluten-free options are also great, though a little more limited. I also love the vibe of this place - beautiful art, a great little bar space, great lighting for those who (like me) MUST photograph their food. And they offer more than just dessert. Great menu, good selection of beer and wine, and music nights! And Felicia herself is great to visit and chat with. If you're in the area, make this a stop.
From this experience, I wouldn't recommend it as a restaurant for regular meals.
Fantastic brunch. Food was fresh, delicious and filling, lots of veggie/vegan options, great cocktails at reasonable prices. Servers were very friendly. Be forewarned that you will not be able to resist the desserts on display. I had the Bailey's cheesecake on St. Patrick's Day weekend and it was amazing.
Saw the 4.9 review and decided to stop by for lunch. The atmosphere was good. The food looked and tasted great. However, as previous reviewers mentioned, we felt disappointed by the price we paid for the amount of food we got. Between the three of us, we had 2 pot pies, 1 tapioca dessert, 1 salad, 1 beer, 1 tea, and 1 soda around 12:30 PM. Before 5PM, our hunger rushed us into another restaurant. After reading owner's reply to previous reviews, we do understand that the cost reflects the quality of ingredients in various cases. Well, the reality was that our very filling dinner in Ithaca cost less!
Comfortable and artful. Fun sodas, cupcakes, fantastic music, and kind people. Also, really excellent house brewed beer in all sorts of different sizes so you can taste different beers with the incredibly delicious cupcakes. I must say though, I recently went with friends for lunch and was saddened by the food. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and was unimpressed with the small cup of chicken salad served with an un-toasted white bread bun. I'm a low budget sort and (perhaps overly optimistically) hope that $8 will fill my tummy with a lunch that will fuel me once I go home to stack firewood or whatever. My friend ordered Cuban beans that came in a plain bowl and didn't offer much to distinguish the dish from the sort of leftovers I pack for work. The other two people at the table made a good choice and got mini pot pies that really were beautiful and delicious, even if they were still on the small side. I haven't completely given up on Felicia's. I just hope the food gets better with time. I know sometimes new restaurants do some tinkering before the menu really shines.
Pretty nice beers. They have a nice malty blend. Didn't get to try the food, but had a nice tapioca coconut blueberry pudding. There is a nice beergarden in back.
